The 2025-26 Assist Fund will open on August 1, 2025, distributing $1 million to help kids across Canada access the game of hockey.

Important Information to Know:

• Fund Distribution: The Assist Fund will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the $1 million limit is reached, applications will close. Any unassessed applications will not be approved.

• New Payment Methods:

  • Payments will now be made via direct deposit or e-transfer.

  • Payments are expected to be distributed by November 14, 2025.

  • No cheques will be issued.

• Streamlined Process:
  The Assist Fund portal is now integrated within the Hockey Canada Registration (HCR) system, making it easier to manage applications.

  • MHAs can track applicants’ approvals under the “Assist Fund” tab in their HCR profile.
