The South Stormont Midget B House Selects captured the Upper Canada Minor Hockey League Championship title with a 3-2 over the visiting Brockville Braves on Sunday March 24th in Long Sault.  The Selects defeated the Regular Season Champion Brockville team in 4 games to capture the title.

Despite being down twice in the matchup, 1-0 early and 2-1 midway through, the Selects battled back to tie the game twice.  Leading  4 points to 2 in the 5 points series, the Selects only needed a tie to secure the Championship.  With the Brockville goalie pulled late in the third and the game tied, the Selects iced the win with an empty net goal.

A fantastic season lead by rookie Head Coach Derek Mantha, the Selects showed hard work, dedication, and discipline can take you all the way.
